Issue
The existing built-up roofing was well beyond its useful life and was in need of complete replacement. Before replacement could begin, REMTEK was required to install perimeter safety, remove all asbestos materials, rebuild and cricket the perimeter roof edge and remove and replace all damaged tongue-and-groove wood decking.

The REMTEK Recommendation
REMTEK provided a new 20-Year-Warranted Carlisle EPDM roofing system for this project. After complete removal and abatement of the existing roofing materials all damaged tongue-and-groove decking was replaced prior to the new roof installation.
The new .060 fully-adhered EPDM membrane was attached to the new ISO insulation and Dens Deck recovery board using spray-applied adhesive. REMTEK also increased the elevation around the entire perimeter to allow for the addition of roof slope in the drain areas.
